Welcome to my Website and Blog which is now celebrating it’s 3rd Birthday!
In this Blog you will find everything that I’ve been up to or am about to do and I will endeavour to do my best to keep you all updated with what’s happening in the world of Kate Pymm Make-up! Don’t worry if I’m a little delayed, it will only be down to the busy-ness and madness of wedding season!!!!! and I’ll catch up just as soon as I can!
So!? what’s been happening?? well January is seeing me starting the Year as an award winner! I am so happy to announce that I have been fortunate to win in The 2012 Wedding Industry Awards as best regional make-up artist in the North East! and it’s all down to my wonderful 2010 and 2011 Brides who have been voting hard for me. The winners were announced in November 2011 .
On top of this award I am also OVER THE MOON to announce that in the Nationals I have won the title of Best Make-Up Artist – Highly Commended!!!!!!! A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! What a great way to start a New Year and what fabulous Clients I have had over the last Year who have been kind enough to take time out to vote for me! Thank you so very much!
2011 found me working with new photographers I hadn’t worked with before, new projects and exciting connections made. It also found me starting a new vocation as a Teacher with 2 Beauty Academies in the North East. I’m pleased to say that I now teach the make-up module as part of NVQ 2 and 3 Beauty, which I hope to develop further as an individual course with both academies. Something I will be very pleased to offer the North East as I often get asked if I hold courses. If you woul dlike to find out more, please message me for further details!
Last year also found me travelling further afield for my Clients and also taking bookings for full days, where my Brides have wanted me for their full Wedding Day, sometimes to style hair for an evening do and create a different look, something I am starting to offer more now so again, if you would like to know anymore please give me a call.
Thanks to my website alone, I received over 40 Wedding bookings for 2011 and would like to thank all my Brides for booking with me and also, in some instances, referring me to their friends too. It’s thanks to my Clients and the wonderful photographers I work with that I have also been able to update my Wedding Gallery with some of the Weddings I styled throughout last year. Now thanks to my website, referrals, links and networks I am well on the way to another exciting and busy Year for 2012!
In these photos you will see the make-up but I have also styled alot of the hair along with providing crystal hair accessories via Sue Webster Designs. Hair pieces were particularly popular through 2010 and 2011 and again for this year. I am pleased to say that I can now supply fantastic hair pieces so please speak to me if this is something you are interested in.
